Privacy Policy 

1. By using the Portal, the user accepts this Privacy Policy.

2. Personal data on the Portal may be collected through the following activities:

  • information provided in the forms posted on the Portal,
  • information collected automatically when using the Portal, i.e.:
  • information automatically saved in server logs and the Portal, e.g.
  • IP address, page request sent by the user, date and time of the request,
  • browser type, browser language, device data, operating system type,
  • cookies – small text files sent by the Portal to your device
  • user visiting the Portal (e.g., computer, smartphone).

3. Information collected automatically is used for the following purposes:

  • administering servers and the Portal,
  • ensuring the security and protection of data and the Portal,
  • providing specific services to the user,
  • adapting the Portal to users' needs,
  • creating statistics on the viewing of the Portal's subpages,
  • maintaining the user session (after logging in), so that the user does not have to re-enter their login and password on every subpage of the website

4. Cookies are used for the following purposes:

  • ensuring the proper functioning of the Portal's websites in the user's browser,
  • facilitating the user's use of the Portal and tailoring it to the user's needs,
  • remembering individual user settings and preferences,
  • creating Portal statistics that enable us to learn about user expectations and develop the Portal in order to facilitate access to the most frequently searched information (e.g., by analyzing search engine queries).

5. Web browsers usually allow cookies to be stored on the user's device by default.

6. Dedicated cookies set by templates:

  • used to remember preferences for selecting the type of events in the news calendar (culture, science, conference, lecture, competition),
  • used to remember preferences for font size, contrast (contrast, text-size),
  • used in voting systems.

7. You can configure your web browser to completely or partially disable the storage of cookies on your device. Disabling cookies may cause some features of the Portal to not function properly. How to block cookies:

  • You can decide whether or not to save cookies in your browser settings.
  • In Firefox: Options -> Privacy
  • In Chrome: Settings -> Advanced settings -> Privacy

  • in Opera: Preferences -> Advanced -> Cookies
  • Cookie settings are configured separately in each browser.

8. PJATK is not responsible for the privacy policies of external entities, including websites to which it provides links. Users should familiarize themselves with the rules applicable to these entities.

9. PJATK makes every effort to protect the Portal and the data processed on it, including against unauthorized access by third parties. To this end, PJATK uses physical security measures, security systems protecting access to servers and the website, and cryptographic solutions. Personal data is made available only to those employees and entities that need it to perform their tasks, and it is processed only for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

10. When processing data, PJATK complies with personal data protection regulations, including the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016, on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data. 11. Users' personal data collected for the purposes described in sections 3 and 4 of this Privacy Policy will be processed for the period necessary to achieve the given purpose.

12. The user has the right to request the personal data controller to:

  • access to your personal data,
  • their corrections,
  • restrictions on their processing,
  • transfer data to another data controller,
  • filing an objection.

13.The user also has the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office if they believe that the processing of their personal data violates the provisions of the GDPR.
